Access into the hotel

There are several blue badge parking spaces at the front of the hotel. There are 2 steps leading to the main entrance with handrails on both sides. A portable ramp is available. Alternatively, take the accessible route round the building and through the side doors by Mizu which will give a level route round to the Hotel reception.

Two fully accessible spa suites

• Located on ground floor (rooms 501 & 503)
• Rooms include fully equipped ensuite bathrooms with level entry showers & grab rails
• These spacious rooms are recommended when mobility is dependent on the wheelchair

Two accessible bedrooms on first floor of main hotel

• Accessible by lift, however the elevator can only accommodate small non-assisted wheelchairs
• Rooms include fully equipped ensuite bathrooms with level entry showers & grab rails
• These rooms are recommended only if mobility is not always restricted to a wheelchair

Access into the hotel

Car parking in the private car park is all on one level and just a few metres from the hotel entrance. All ground floor areas are on one level as well as access to the lift.

One fully accessible bedroom

• Located on ground floor (room 3)
• Fully equipped ensuite bathroom with level entry showers & grab rails
• Alexa voice activated lights & television
• This room is recommended when mobility is dependent using a wheelchair

Two accessible bedrooms

• 1 on ground floor, 1 on first floor
• 1st floor is accessible by lift, however the elevator can only accommodate small non-assisted wheelchairs
• Rooms include ensuite bedrooms with level entry showers & grab rails
• Limited grab rail for toilet
• These rooms are recommended only if mobility is not always restricted to a wheelchair

Parking spaces can be found at the front and rear of the hotel. There is a single step into the front entrance of the hotel, or alternatively you can take a level route from the rear car park through the conservatory to the Hotel reception.

Access into the hotel

There are limited parking spaces in our garage at the rear of the hotel. Please reserve a space at the time of booking your stay. At the front of the hotel there is 1 small step and a further 3 steps leading up to the hotel entrance. Alternatively, there is a level route from the rear of the hotel which will take you to the lower level floor where you can get a lift up to the hotel ground floor.

• Both Town rooms (103 & 107) are accessible by the hotel lift
• Rooms include fully equipped ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers & grab rails
• These rooms are recommended when mobility is dependent on the wheelchair

Twelve accessible bedrooms

• Rooms include ensuite bedrooms with walk in showers but without the grab rails

Access into the hotel

There is a blue badge parking space at the rear of the hotel. Alternative parking is located at the rear of the hotel or a few metres away in the public car park. Level-access to the hotel reception is via the Main Street entrance, please make your way round the building (165m). Access to the Hotel reception from the rear of the hotel is via 6 steps.

Access within the hotel

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor and there is step free access, with a small ramp, to the Brasserie. For level access to the Bar/Conservatory please exit the main entrance and enter the conservatory from it’s front entrance (15 metres), alternatively there are 3 steps up with a hand rail to the bar from the reception area.

To access the lift there are 3 steps. A ramp can be placed on the steps at your request. The lift goes to all 3 floors of the hotel, however there are further steps to some bedrooms which do not have lift access. Please notify the hotel during booking if you need level access from the lift to your bedroom.

• 1 on first floor, 1 on third floor
• Both rooms are accessible by the hotel lift, however the elevator can only accommodate small non-assisted wheelchairs
• A ramp is needed to access the hotel lift which will be provided
• Room 102 includes en-suite wet room with shower including fold down shower chair & grab rails
• Room 301 includes ensuite bedrooms with grab rails. There is a step into the walk-in shower.

Access into the hotel

There are no private parking spaces, but the public car park to the rear of the hotel provides level access to the hotel. Level-access into the hotel is via the front entrance from the Main Street. The bar is accessible via wheelchair however the toilets are not.

Due to the nature of the building, we regret to inform you that The Kings Arms hotel does not offer any wheelchair accessible bedrooms to customers. However, we recommend staying at the Skiddaw Hotel located just next door, or the Inn on the Square situated opposite.
