The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa had the pleasure of welcoming comedian, actor and musician Bill Bailey and his family over the weekend!
The friendly star is known best for his stand-up comedy and roles in Black Books, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, QI and Hot Fuzz. He also won the 18th season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2020.
Bill stayed overnight as part of a family gathering at the hotel and enjoyed a meal at Mizu Pan-Asian Restaurant which has previously attracted the likes of Colin Firth and Simon Pegg. The feedback from Bill and his family was excellent and the team were over the moon that the comic was kind enough to get a photo with the group.
The Falls Spa has also previously welcomed past Love Island contestants Molly Mae-Hague, who is now the creative director of Pretty Little Thing, her partner Tommy Fury and also Kady McDermott on a separate occasion.
Molly and Tommy spent a weekend at the hotel in a Premium Suite, while Kady enjoyed a Derwent Delight Spa Day which includes 2-hours spa access at The Falls Spa, a 50 minute treatment of choice, a Rasul Ritual and a 2-course lunch in Mizu.
The hotel has also attracted the likes of Ronan Keating who visited as part of Magic FM’s Breakfast Show and has featured on ITV’s This Morning‘s competition segment with Lisa Snowdon.
In 2022, Mizu Pan-Asian Restaurant won the ‘Best Restaurant in England‘ award at the Golden Chopsticks Awards which is hosted by Gok Wan. The restaurant had previously won ‘Best Newcomer‘ back in 2019 also.
Mizu is open daily for lunches from 12pm-2pm and evening meals from 5pm-9pm. The restaurant serves up pan-Asian specialities across a range of Eastern countries including sushi, curries, gyozas plus more. Both indoor and al fresco dining options are available.
